Travel Teams

B2B will be starting travel teams to begin play for the 2011 season. We will be running two travel programs out of our facility with an emphasis on development and advancement to play at the next level whether that be collegiate or professional.

The first program is the B2B Bombers. This program is a more relaxed atmosphere, with volunteer coaches managing the teams. The teams will play in 5 tournaments across the Mid-Atlantic region at very popular tournament sites such as the Ripken complex, Sports at the Beach, etc. Each team will practice at B2B for 8 weeks, once a week. The players will also get a limited membership to B2B, which will allow them to advance their skills. Full use of the facility is available as long as the space is available. The membership will include:

Weekdays from 3-5pm
Sundays from 10am-noon (facility will only be open for Bomber players only)
Summer membership from the end of school until school is back in session

The second travel team will be the Norcal East baseball program. This experience is more intense, focusing on players with advanced skills who are candidates to play baseball at the next level. We have teamed up with the Norcal program out of Northern California (http://norcalbaseball.org/) and the Norcal East program out of PA (http://www.norcaleast.org/). Both programs are linked with one another, and we are joining their team to offer an opportunity like no other to players in our region. Visit their websites to see more about the programs. Teams will be playing in a minimum of 8 tournaments, and practicing for 15 weeks. We will also be hiring coaches for the teams who are qualified and have good baseball backgrounds. Parents will not be allowed to coach a team with their son on it. Players on these teams will also have the opportunity to be selected to play on the Norcal East national team, which will be chosen from a Norcal East Showcase tournment each year. That team will play in national tournaments such as the East Cobb tournament, and chances to attend Perfect Game showcase events and the Area Code Games. These are some of the highest regarded tournaments in the nation.
