BARNSTORMER CAMPS 2008
This summer the Lancaster Barnstormers, in conjunction with B2B Baseball, will be holding six weeks of summer baseball camps at Clipper Magazine Stadium.  The times of the camps are from Monday through Thursday from 9am until noon (unless otherwise noted).  The dates of the camp are:
 

  • June 23rd-25th       6-7 year old camp 
    (3 days for $175 instead of $200)
  • June 30th-July 3rd   9-12 year old camp
  • July 7th –10th         8-10 year old camp
  • July 21st-24th         8-9 year old camp
  • July 28-31st            11-12 year old camp
    (advanced camp for skilled players only)
     
Here are the highlights and features of the camp:
  • $200 per camper, per session ($50 non-refundable fee to hold spot…balance due ($150) June 1st )
  • Camp will be every day, rain or shine
  • Each camper will be enrolled in the Barnstormer’s “Kid’s Club” ($15 value)
  • Lancaster Barnstormer players will attend at least one day of camp 
  • Campers will get a special T-shirt.  Campers need to bring their own glove and are encouraged to bring their own bat
  • Catchers should bring their own gear if they have it (gear will be available)
  • Dress should be baseball appropriate according to the weather
  • Each counselor is a certified elementary teacher with extensive baseball experience
  • One camp instructor for every 13 campers (ratio is 1:13).  This is based on a full camp of 64 kids
  • Working as a “team” will be the emphasis of the camp
  • Campers will play at least one game each day on the Barnstormer’s field (weather permitting)
  • Name will be announced and music played on the last day of camp during the games.  Players will get the real minor league experience at the stadium (weather permitting)
  • The latest skills and drills will be taught daily to improve each camper’s baseball ability
  • One camper award, “The Animal in Camp”, will be given to the hardest worker in camp each week
  • There will be a tour of the facility (including the locker rooms) for the players one day at camp.  On the last day of camp, there will be a special tour for the parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. of  Clipper Magazine Stadium.
